BEING BORN AGAIN
OF THE SPIRIT

I AM THE GOOD SHEPHERD 

A good shepherd watches over his flock to make sure that they are safe from harm.  If necessary, he searches for strays well off the beaten path.  Once he finds them he leads them back to safety.  He tends to his sheep with Love. 

How does this image apply to the thrust of this initial description of experiencing His Love? Well, in short, Our Good Shepherd knows just where, when and how to touch us. He helps us come to know His Voice in our hearts.  Oh! We do not hear voices.  Remember I am a psychologist.  However, in some way He lets us know that He is with us.  He gives us such an experience that we know in our hearts that the touch that we have is from Our Good Shepherd.. 

Perhaps the best way to support this statement is to share the touch I experience in My Heart.  Years ago I went to Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at a conference in Scranton.  Now, Adoration was not my favorite experience.  I used to think of it as boring.  Most times I would fall asleep. 

I always wondered why people would fall prone on the floor before the Host in the Monstrance. I used to think of them as religious nuts.  I would chuckle inside at their foolishness. Well, while at this conference, they had twenty four hour Adoration.  Everyone went. I conformed.  I went to this prayer time. I admit I went reluctantly and cynically.  However I went.   

I was carrying my pad and pencil as any good conference goer would. I went into the chapel and felt that something different was happening within me.  I could not explain it. Even to this day I cannot explain it without feeling a liitle strange.  In fact, when I talk about this, people tend to move away from me. 

I had the urge to write words that somehow were part of my psyche.  I wrote,  

“If you let Me, I will turn you inside out and upside down.”. 

I filled several pages with words that convinced me that somehow I was in touch with something beyond me that defied understanding.  I do not take drugs.  I never have. Yet the nature of this relationship seemed so out of context for me. I was always so used to being in control of everything. Yet, here I was sitting in a chapel writing words that formed in me. I knew that these words were not from me.  I could not write that well.  They just flowed. 

It has been thirteen years since this experience.  I have spent time daily sitting quietly in prayer before His True Presence in the Eucharist seeking more and more from Him. He gives more and more daily.  He draws me deeper into a relationship that defies understanding.   

I know that by writing these words, readers will draw away from me.  I do not care.  I want as many people as possible to have similar experiences of His Love in their being. I have learned so much about Our Good Shepherd in these morning experiences.  The words He shares in Me fill volumes.  

Am I speaking to myself? Are they truly from Him?  Have I lost it? I don’t think I’ve gone astray. I just know His Voice in my heart.  That’s all I need to know.  That’s all I want to know. All else is secondary. 

I have experienced His Presence internally. I have drawn my first bucket of water from the well. I have cranked the wheel of buckets that bring touches of His Saving Love over me again and again.  I have been washed away into oblivion by the Waters of His Love.  I have walked in the rain with Jesus.  I repeat this cycle again and again throughout my life. I know it is real.  

A MEDITATION
YOU WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND ME 

Try as you may you can never understand the Wonder of the Power of My Love in you. I just overwhelm you by what I do in you. Oh! I do this ever so gently in the quiet of the inner recesses of your psyche in these few moments that We spend together silently.

Without any fanfare I rise to your awareness. I simply enable you to sense that I am here with you. I touch you with My Love. I do not do anything that spectacular. I just enable you to know internally that I share My Touch of Love within you.

What I do beyond raising your awareness is unknown to you. I heal aspects of your being that you did not even know needed to be healed. My New Life takes over in you.

I am the Most Holy Spirit. I am the Gift of Love Eternal. I dwell in friends such as you through the Mutual Love of the Father and The Son. This Unifying Love prepares you  for your inner transformation from temporary to Forever.

I am The Spirit of Love. I dwell in all souls. I am the Indwelling Gift of Love sent by the Father and The Son at the Ascension of Jesus into heaven.

You know Me quite well. You have not only accepted My Presence in you, you have actively and aggressively pursued more of Me daily. You come to Me each morning. You expect My Love to rise up in you.

I do rise up in you in ways that surprise you. Some days you experience My Peace. Other days I challenge you intellectually. Still other days We just spend quiet time together where We just are together in Our Mutually Chosen Meeting Place.

This is Our Sacred Space. It is holy and pleasing to Me. It is an Oasis of Peace for you. This is the Space that Love builds. This is My Kingdom in you. Thus, be at Peace My friend. Enjoy this quiet time together as much as I do. I most certainly do. Be set free by your internal experience of Me within you. 

It is so pleasing to Me to have souls like you who just want nothing more from Me than to just be with Me. I love relating to such souls quietly, gently and peacefully.

That is the Wonder of My Love sharing Pockets of Forever in the temporary lives of those who proclaim that Jesus is Lord of their life. Thus, be at Peace My friends. Enjoy your inner taste of The Love that never ends.

I am The Resurrected Love of Jesus. I dwell in you with the assent of Our Father. I recreate you anew by My True Presence in you.
